Hydroxyl Radicals (OH) - What do they do?

Biozone air purifiers use a patent-pending process to create hydroxyl radicals (OH), which are more effective as an oxidant than ozone, and chlorine. They are extremely effective at destroying fungi's such as mold and mildew however this oxidant is just as effective at killing bacteria and viruses. The Hydroxyl radical is also extremely effective at neutralizing toxic chemical fumes and vapors. Formaldehyde is one such vapor.

Formaldehyde out gasses from rugs, new clothes, cleaners, soaps and even baby shampoo! It's a cheap preservative and is used in virtually everything.

Quaternion is an industry name for a formaldehyde derivative which is used in many products. Look on your labels! The atmosphere of your home is filled with these carcinogenic vapors and you're constantly breathing them. That is, unless you use your Biozone Air Purifier!

Using Hydroxyl Radicals are one of the four powerful methods of removing all forms of interior contamination.

Biozone air purifiers produce a small amount of ozone which enables the production of the hydroxyl radicals. As the ozone is produced, it is exposed to the UV light, which breaks the O3 (ozone) into O2- and O1 which are charged oxygen and oxygen singlet molecules. The O1 molecules combine with hydrogen atoms in the air to make OH (hydroxyl radicals).

Biozone air purifiers produce a consistent UV wavelength which results in an efficient production of hydroxyl radicals.
