at a consistent very safe low level within
the room's atmosphere. Exposure to high levels
of ozone can be a respiratory irritant. There
are some public misperceptions as to the safety
of ozone generators. The FDA has arbitrarily
set the safety standard at a level of .05
ppm (parts per million) for long term human
exposure to ozone. OSHA has set 0.1 ppm as
a maximum for up to an 8 hour exposure.

They can produce a very high concentration
of ozone. Too much ozone will create an odor
similar to chlorine and may have some uncomfortable
side effects. Ozone sensors can control ozone
output however the ozone sensors used in all
of these air purifiers are of inferior quality
and are prone to malfunction. A high quality
ozone sensor would be prohibitively expensive
and would price their purifier out of the
market. Therefore the high quality sensors
necessary to limit the ozone output are not
installed in our competitor's units. Bottom
line is the ozone generators used as air purifiers
